As early as a few years ago, Gree established a 3D technology research center and comprehensively laid out the long-term development strategy of integrating 3D printing technology into product development and application.
Compared with traditional machining, 3D printing has significant advantages. It can quickly print products with diverse shapes and complex structures without being limited by product shape. This feature not only significantly shortens the development cycle of new products, but also makes product design no longer restricted by traditional machining and becomes more flexible and free, thereby better meeting the increasingly diverse needs of the market.
NextShapes and Gree have cooperated for many years and established a solid business partnership. With excellent performance, NextShapes' 8228 engineering resin has always won Gree's trust and preference.
8228 was developed by all members of the R&D team led by Ouyang Liwei, director of the Materials R&D Department, over a year and hundreds of experiments. After overturning nearly a hundred formulas, the R&D personnel finally determined the optimal amount of diluent, making the mechanical properties of 8228 very close to ABS materials, with slight advantages in toughness and strength.
The curved surface samples printed with 8228 can withstand the repeated compression of a 1.6-ton car without breaking or deforming. The thin plate bridge printed by 8228 can also withstand repeated jumping by a person weighing 160 kilograms. The delicate texture of its molded parts saves a lot of polishing effort.
Since using NextShapes' 8228 engineering resin, Gree's R&D personnel no longer have to worry about product prototypes breaking during functional testing, thus affecting the development progress of new products.
Through cooperation with NextShapes, Gree has made significant progress in the application of 3D printing technology, improving the efficiency and flexibility of product development. In the future, NextShapes will continue to be committed to technological innovation, provide customers with more flexible and high-quality solutions, and assist the development and transformation of all walks of life.
